FOR OUR CMS IN GRANDSON AND OUR PROGRAMME "Learning through Play, Little Steps", WE ARE LOOKING FOR A 30% HOME VISITOR
The cantonal early support programme "Learning through Play, Little Steps" supports the development of children around two years old in a playful way to facilitate their social and school integration. It enables parents to strengthen their parenting skills and allows families to meet other families with children of the same age.
YOUR TASKS
- Family support: As a peer, you ensure the social integration of young children and their parents through playful activities and outings, while organising and documenting home visits in accordance with the established programme.
- Community engagement: You actively encourage families to participate in group meetings and home visits, strengthening their commitment to the programme.
- Activity facilitation: You lead interactive games between parents and children, supporting their development and reinforcing family bonds.
- Participation and training: You take part in weekly meetings and ongoing training, working closely with the coordinator to improve your skills as well as those of your team.
YOUR PROFILE
- Experience and passion: You have personal educational experience in early childhood and are passionate about leading playful activities with families and their preschool-aged children.
- Intercultural skills and communication: You excel in communication in an intercultural context and have a well-developed sense of listening, essential for building trustful relationships.
- Autonomy and decision-making: You are able to work independently, analyse situations and make relevant decisions to support the development of parents’ educational and social skills.
- Flexibility and commitment: You demonstrate flexibility regarding working hours and adapt to the service’s needs. This position is an ideal stepping stone for anyone wishing to pursue a career in early childhood and develop their professional project. The workload is higher during school terms (about 50%) and you benefit from holidays during all school breaks.
- Technical and logistical prerequisites: Proficiency in French (level B2) and office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, Email) are necessary. Possession of a driving licence and a vehicle is essential, as well as knowledge of the local socio-associative network.
