Main tasks

• Participation in on-site inspections in the field of suitability (in particular according to the Financial Services Act [FinSA]).
• Development and advancement of supervisory measures in the field of suitability and implementation through targeted controls.
• Advice and support to the various supervisory areas of FINMA for the prudential implementation of suitability obligations.
• Identification of weaknesses at the level of institutions as well as the market as a whole and participation in their correction.
• Monitoring current and future developments in the field of suitability at national and international levels and participation in the implementation of supervisory practice.
• Participation in possible mutual evaluations between countries and regulatory projects.
• Project and design work in the field of suitability.

Required profile

• Completed university degree (in law or economics), ideally supplemented by further training, as well as at least three years of professional experience, for example in auditing, in a law firm or in the legal and compliance department of a bank.
• In-depth knowledge in the field of suitability.
• Excellent professional qualifications, combined with the ability to understand and clearly present complex topics.
• Experience in interdisciplinary collaboration, good communication skills, perseverance and the ability to work independently.
• Languages: French (native/C2), English (C1) and German (B2).
