Mission
Within this role, attached to the Watch Research department of our Research & Development Division, you will seek innovative and unprecedented construction solutions with the aim of developing high-performance watch products. Thinking outside the box, you will develop new concepts that will ultimately form the basic elements of our future products. You will be the integrator of new technologies and materials, identifying needs and opportunities for advancement.
Responsibilities
- Design new watch concepts, assess their feasibility and oversee the development of prototypes.
- Successfully carry out ambitious projects or project phases on complex mechanisms combining traditional watchmaking and new technologies.
- Meet the functional and quality requirements of our timepieces, thanks to your technical knowledge.
- Ensure technological watchfulness by regularly informing yourself about technical evolutions and developments as well as the means and tools specific to construction.
Profile sought
- Master’s degree as an EPF or HES Engineer in microtechnology or mechanics.
- At least 2 years of experience in a watch construction position.
- Good knowledge of materials and their forming techniques.
- Good knowledge of professional tools (CAD, GD&T, GPS Dimensioning) as well as office software.
- Desire and aptitude to train in project management.
- Comfort working from a blank sheet, managing complexity, uncertainty and ambiguity.
- Rigor, precision, analytical and synthetic skills.
- Results-oriented.
- Good interpersonal skills, assertiveness, diplomacy and proactivity.
- Ease of adaptation within project teams.
