Our client, a well-established company in the field of carpentry and timber construction in the canton of Fribourg, is seeking an experienced Carpenter Team Leader M/F to strengthen their team. This company works on a variety of projects: new builds, renovations, timber structures, industrial halls and special works.

Your responsibilities:

As a Team Leader, you play a central role on the construction sites:

• Management and coordination of a team of 2 to 6 carpenters
• Reading and interpreting plans and technical diagrams
• Organisation of the site, task allocation, progress monitoring
• Assembly of timber structures (framework, traditional carpentry, trusses, prefabricated elements, etc.)
• Ensuring compliance with safety standards (SUVA) and quality standards
• Communication with site management, architects and other trades
• Active participation in manual work when necessary
• Training and support of apprentices or new colleagues

Your profile:

• Federal VET Diploma (CFC) as a carpenter or equivalent qualification recognised in Switzerland
• Proven experience as a carpenter and minimum 2-3 years of team leadership experience
• Mastery of timber construction techniques and modern carpentry tools
• Ability to manage a site independently
• Good organisational skills and ability to work in a team
• Knowledge of Swiss standards (SIA, SUVA)
• Category B driving licence essential
• Fluent French (any other regional language an asset)
