What you can contribute
- Carry out flight preparation work, intermediate checks and restorations of combat jets engaged in flight service
- Perform aircraft handover and receipt tasks with pilots
- Execute periodic maintenance tasks, repairs and configuration changes on aircraft
- Participate in training modules abroad
- Assume the role of technical instructor for the troops on duty
What makes you unique
- Federal VET Diploma as a polymechanic, mechatronics technician or similar training with several years of experience, ideally in aeronautics; strong interest in aviation and its new technologies
- Good skills in electrical and electronic fields
- Sense of responsibility, team spirit and ability to provide technical instruction
- Good mental and physical resilience, impeccable reputation (position subject to security clearance)
- Willingness and ability to undertake assignments and training according to an irregular schedule including nights, weekends and public holidays as well as occasionally abroad
- Good oral knowledge of a second official language and English (level B1)

The Operations Command (cdmt Op) is responsible for all operations and military deployments of the Swiss Army. The cdmt Op includes the Air Force, the Land Forces, the four territorial divisions, the SWISSINT Competence Centre, the Special Forces Command as well as the Military Police. About 40% of the approximately 2500 employees are civilian, ranging from engineers to analysts to aircraft mechanics. The Swiss Army employs more than 9000 employees in four military professions and about 200 civilian professions, across 110 sites throughout Switzerland. It also ensures succession by training apprentices in more than 30 trades.
