What you can contribute
- Carry out repair and fault-finding work on electrical, electronic and mechanical systems on military aircraft
- Perform flight preparation work, intermediate checks and aircraft restorations
- Be engaged as a specialist for tasks related to aircraft operations in Switzerland and abroad
- Participate in peacekeeping operations, training modules and meetings abroad
- Assume the role of technical instructor for troops on duty
What makes you unique
- Federal VET Diploma as an electronics technician, automation technician or similar training with several years of experience, ideally in aeronautics; strong interest in aviation and its new technologies
- Sense of responsibility, team spirit and ability to provide technical instruction
- Good mental and physical resilience, impeccable reputation, Swiss nationality (position subject to security clearance)
- Willingness and ability to undertake assignments and training abroad and flexibility for assignments outside normal working hours
- Basic military service completed, non-commissioned officer/officer training is an advantage
- Good oral knowledge of a second official language and English (level B1)

The Operations Command (cdmt Op) is responsible for all operations and military engagements of the Swiss Army. The cdmt Op includes the Air Force, Land Forces, the four territorial divisions, the SWISSINT Competence Centre, the Special Forces Command and the Military Police. About 40% of the approximately 2500 employees are civilian, ranging from engineers to analysts to aircraft mechanics. The Swiss Army employs more than 9000 employees in four military professions and about 200 civilian professions, across 110 sites throughout Switzerland. It also ensures succession by training apprentices in more than 30 trades.
