Director of the Bugnon Gymnasium Job Description At the head of this multi-site institution (Ours and Sévelin), you will lead all pedagogical, technical, and financial activities to provide a quality and supportive learning environment. You will unite your teams (178 people) around the success of the students while ensuring their professional fulfillment. Representing the institution, you will engage in promoting it among partners and the school community, reinforcing and developing the tools necessary for accomplishing its missions. Responsibilities Implement cantonal and/or federal educational policies within the institution. Manage the institution and coordinate all its activities and services while ensuring a smooth and structured internal process as well as optimal resource management. Ensure the quality of teaching and oversee its distribution, while monitoring student progress and compliance with programs and regulations in effect. Ensure the development of the institution and maintain a positive institutional culture. Recruit, support, and unite pedagogical and technical teams; encourage the development of their skills within the established framework. Ensure the dissemination of information to guarantee effectiveness. Develop and monitor the budget, define priorities, and ensure reliable financial management. Ensure proper maintenance and renewal of equipment and infrastructures. Promote the institution's image and develop its presence in its economic, social, and academic environment, particularly by participating in various conferences, commissions, and university working groups. Education: a diploma or degree deemed equivalent in a field taught at the secondary II level, complemented by a pedagogical qualification for teaching at that level (or equivalent experience). Confirmed managerial experience of several years, acquired in the field; proven managerial skills, excellent communication, and ease in conflict management, analytical and synthesis capacity, openness to changes and projects; ability to develop a culture of excellence and management of educational institutions (FORDIF) is desired and will be required if not completed prior to entering the role.
