Director of Planning and Façade Production
Job Description
To ensure the planning and management of our Façade production, we are looking for our future director who will work closely with the execution directors and shared services, whose main responsibilities will be:
- Direct management of site managers (Bulle and Denges), who are themselves responsible for the complete operational management of the workshops, and their coordination
- Planning the department's overall workload, in collaboration with the rest of the management (commercial, execution, and services)
- Managing subcontracting (decision-making, budget, organisation, compliance)
- Commercial development of production, including service offers according to our available capacity and optimisation of infrastructure utilisation
- Active participation in improvement and innovation projects
- Strategic management of production: defining and monitoring objectives, contributing to the company’s overall interests, resource decisions, collaboration on investments
Qualifications
To meet this challenge, you are recognised for your pragmatic organisational skills. You are able to consider the aspects specific to project production ranging from unique pieces to prototype series, ensuring the requirements of any manufacturing in terms of safety, quality, and deadlines. In this role at the centre of the company’s value chain, you live and advocate collaboration with other departments.
Decisively future-oriented, you always seek to improve production, whether in terms of skills, tools, technology, or use of resources (human, energy, material).
Your relevant and accurate analysis of the elements at play allows you to make decisions in the company’s interest and to react and adapt to expected or unexpected situations. For this, you demonstrate foresight and consideration of all departments, and communicate clearly and transparently with the people and sectors involved.
Thanks to your teams, you are able to satisfy your internal clients in order to carry out Sottas projects and satisfy our external clients.
To ensure the technical role of the position, you possess the following characteristics:
- You are an expert in production environments, with a very good understanding of the supply chain, and experience in continuous improvement in a production context (such as lean management)
- You hold a degree in production engineering or an equivalent qualification
- You master the usual computer tools, and have experience in operating an ERP and/or MES
