Context

The FER Geneva is strengthening its Marketing & Member Services Department and is recruiting an experienced Communication Manager to amplify the impact, clarity and modernity of its external communication. This role is designed as a senior professional reference: a person capable of producing, managing and structuring demanding communication campaigns and systems, while contributing to enriching practices, formats and approaches in a more engaging, embodied and effective logic.

Your mission

You strengthen the impact and effectiveness of FER Geneva's external communication. You manage multichannel campaigns and activation systems serving the institutional brand, employer brand and service promotion. You contribute to modernising practices, developing an audience- and performance-oriented approach, and contributing to the collective dynamic through quality execution, advice and collaboration.



Communication Manager - Campaigns & digital



Main responsibilities

External communication & brand coherence

  • Design and deploy communication plans aligned with FER's strategic priorities
  • Translate institutional or complex topics into clear, attractive and audience-oriented messages
  • Ensure editorial quality, message coherence and brand identity across all channels

Campaign design and management

  • Imagine, structure and deploy multichannel campaigns: institutional brand, employer brand, service promotion, client marketing, events, sponsorship and partnerships
  • Define objectives, targets, messages, formats, channels, planning, budgets and performance indicators
  • Manage systems focused on impact, engagement and results

Content, formats & digital

  • Develop contemporary and engaging formats: short videos, capsules, testimonials, embodied content, conversion formats
  • Strengthen the marketing approach: audience, acquisition, engagement, performance of print, web, social and newsletter systems
  • Structure the use of AI in communication and introduce modern working methods (briefs, test-and-learn, monitoring)

Senior professional reference

  • Provide expert insight on briefs, messages and formats, with rigour and kindness in a quality and efficiency logic
  • Contribute to sharing best practices and disseminating solid working methods within the team
  • Be a recognised support point through quality analysis, recommendation and execution

Profile sought

Education & experience

  • Higher education in communication, marketing, media or digital
  • 7 to 10 years minimum experience in external communication, brand communication or multichannel campaigns
  • Experience in a demanding environment: recognised institution, large organisation, reputable agency or strong brand
  • Very good mastery of digital, audience mechanics and contemporary formats
  • Concrete experience or strong operational appetite for the use of AI in communication

Skills & qualities

  • Excellent ability to construct a clear message on complex topics — very strong writing skills
  • Marketing sense: audience, value proposition, performance
  • Ability to move from strategy to execution, ease in cross-functional management
  • Initiative spirit, strong autonomy, result and continuous improvement culture
  • Relational intelligence: ability to challenge, engage and advance

Differentiating assets

  • Experience in transformation or upgrading of a communication function
  • Mastery of institutional and employer brand codes and audience journey logics
  • Knowledge of the Swiss Romandy economic fabric

Administrative prerequisites

  • Valid work authorisation in Switzerland required
