The nursing management embodies the authority in nursing matters. Its mission is to ensure the quality and safety of care within the establishment. In this capacity, the nursing director oversees all nursing activities (nurses and various health professionals). To fulfil this mission, it relies on three areas of expertise: Professional practices, interprofessionality, and transformation in care.
You will be responsible for the nutritional care of patients hospitalised in acute geriatric care as well as in geriatric rehabilitation, for the Department of Rehabilitation and Geriatrics, within the Trois-Chêne Hospital.
As a dietitian, your mission is to enable patients to maintain, restore, or improve their nutritional status, functional capacities, and quality of life in accordance with ethical and professional principles.
You apply Evidence Based Practice (EBP) and carry out your care in accordance with the nutritional care process.
You are responsible for rigorous and regular documentation of patient records.
You actively participate in interdisciplinary rehabilitation and acute care meetings and collaborate closely with the entire interprofessional team.
You contribute to the continuous improvement of professional practices and quality of care, particularly in the field of protein-energy malnutrition in a geriatric context, and are proactive in proposing improvements.
You provide cover for colleagues within other care units of the Trois-Chêne Hospital as needed.
You participate in the training of students.
Qualifications
You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics or a recognised and registered qualification with the Swiss Red Cross.
You have a strong interest in clinical nutrition in geriatrics.
Experience in geriatrics and knowledge of the external network are assets.
You are proficient in performing and interpreting indirect calorimetry measurements as well as body composition measurements by bioimpedance. You are comfortable managing artificial nutrition.
You possess excellent communication skills and know how to collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary team.
Your intellectual and professional curiosity is recognised. You adopt a reflective stance, favouring continuous professional development.
You are organised, autonomous in managing your time and activities, flexible, and capable of handling multiple demands simultaneously.
For non-French speakers, a C1 level in French is required. The ability to read scientific articles (including in English) is necessary.
Perfect command of common IT tools (Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) is essential.
