We are recruiting, on behalf of our client an engineering office, a Deputy Director to support the development of an engineering activity recognised for its expertise in the fields of civil engineering, infrastructure, and spatial planning.
This role is aimed at an experienced professional wishing to combine management, business development, complex project management, and team support in a demanding technical environment.
Your role
Reporting to the regional management, you actively participate in defining and implementing the development strategy for your scope.
You act as a liaison between management, teams, and clients, with a comprehensive view of activities, projects, and resources.
Your role is to ensure the sustainable growth of the activity, strengthen relationships with clients and partners, and support employees in their professional development.
Beyond operational management, you actively contribute to positioning the office in its market and participate in strategic reflections related to organisational evolution.
Your responsibilities
You support teams in managing complex projects, ensuring the technical quality of services and client satisfaction.
You participate in the commercial development of the activity by identifying new opportunities and consolidating existing relationships with project owners, public authorities, companies, and partners.
You contribute to acquiring new mandates, preparing proposals, and negotiating contracts.
You ensure financial monitoring of activities under your responsibility, ensuring project profitability and achievement of set objectives.
You participate in recruitment, supervision, and team development, with particular attention to knowledge transfer and skills enhancement of employees.
Finally, you represent the company to clients, institutional partners, and various sector stakeholders.
Your profile
You hold an EPF, HES engineering degree or equivalent in civil engineering.
You have significant experience in managing infrastructure, mobility, planning, or civil engineering projects, ideally gained within a recognised engineering office.
Throughout your career, you have developed solid experience in team management, client relations, and activity management.
You are capable of working on both strategic topics and operational and technical issues.
Your leadership, ability to unite, and development sense enable you to effectively support teams while sustainably strengthening client relationships.
You also possess a good knowledge of the Swiss market and the main sector players.
