Deputy Cantonal Chemist, Head of Water InspectionJob DescriptionAs Deputy Cantonal Chemist within the Office of [Office Name] (OFCO), at the Department of Agriculture, Sustainability and Digital Affairs, you support the Cantonal Chemist in leading surveillance and food safety missions. You contribute to risk management, scientific expertise, and decision-making, and coordinate cross-functional files. You participate in team management and the development of the office's activities. You ensure compliance with the legal framework and contribute to the quality and consistency of services provided.Responsibilities- Direct the various areas of the water inspection division, ensure steering, and manage human and financial resources.- Ensure the processing of decision reports in accordance with applicable cantonal and federal legal provisions. Implement cantonal and federal policies.- Assist the Cantonal Chemist in the management of the Office and participate in the cross-functional steering of the Office as a member of the management team and Deputy Cantonal Chemist.- Act as the primary scientific representative in external relations.
