Description

We will work together Delegated Project Manager - Deep Drilling and Geothermal Reservoir We will work together The geothermal unit aims to provide local renewable thermal solutions of low, medium, and high depth to meet heating or cooling needs, as well as energy storage solutions. As an emerging sector with strong growth, the missions of the geothermal unit aim not only to map the underground but also, alongside the Canton, to establish a favorable framework for its development and to develop geothermal sectors in the local and regional market. Thus, the cantonal energy master plan aims to harness 150 GWh per year of medium-depth geothermal energy by [date], which involves the study and implementation of a significant number of medium-depth drillings. By [date], the number of geothermal drillings will need to accelerate considerably to effectively meet the ambitious goals set by the energy sector in service of a sustainable Geneva. You will lead the planning and technical follow-up of the deep drillings necessary for geothermal energy in Geneva. Within the Geothermal Unit, you will enhance technical mastery and contribute to issues related to drilling and reservoirs at the heart of projects. In a context of rapid scaling up, your cross-functional role will support the coherence, quality, and success of projects. More specifically, your missions will be as follows: - Lead the design of wells and technical choices related to deep drilling (design, well architecture, equipment, risk management); - Plan and orchestrate all drilling processes: programs, procedures, sequencing, deadlines, interfaces; - Coordinate and oversee specialized contractors (drilling contractors, well services, logging, cementing, testing); - Ensure follow-up: performance, compliance with HSE, management of contingencies, programs; - Integrate reservoir issues in a way that guides decision-making. Your profile and skills: You have solid experience in deep drilling: well design, program development, supervision, or onsite management. You are comfortable in demanding technical environments where responsiveness and risk management are essential. Your technical judgment allows you to make decisions between options, adapt plans in the face of unforeseen events, and maintain safety-cost-quality objectives. In addition, specialized knowledge and experience in reservoir engineering could enhance your ability to communicate clearly and your leadership fosters close collaboration with contractors and internal teams. Convinced that the success of projects relies on true collective work, you know how to mobilize everyone's expertise, encourage mutual support, and cultivate constructive dialogues to achieve common goals. Autonomous, rigorous, and results-oriented, you enjoy advancing projects and ensuring their success. Mastery of French and technical English is required. A strong HSE sensitivity is necessary. Academic background: - Engineering degree or master's in drilling, petroleum engineering, geo-resources, applied geosciences, or equivalent; - Minimum 8-10 years of experience in deep drilling (geothermal, oil, storage, CCS), including design, implementation, and management; - Good knowledge of reservoir principles necessary for decision-making (well testing, productivity/injectivity); - Knowledge of technical well tools (design or monitoring software) without needing to be an expert in reservoir. Joining SIG means participating in change! SIG is a public service company dedicated to serving municipal enterprises and public authorities in Geneva. It provides a wide range of services in energy distribution, water supply, and waste management. It is committed, as the industrial arm of the State of Geneva, to an ambitious ecological transition. Concerned with promoting gender equality and diversity within its teams, our institution encourages applications from everyone, regardless of gender, origin, or any other characteristic, particularly in areas where women are currently under-represented. Female candidates are especially encouraged to apply for competition No. [number] by the deadline of April [date]. jidcdf237baen jit0414aen jpiy26aen
