Position:
In this role as Credit Monitoring & Credit Operations Officer, you will be joining a busy, close-knit team where you can continue to consolidate your experience and learn from more senior team members. The role also allows for you to be based in a beautiful part of Switzerland - namely Basel! You will play a key part in supporting the bank's lombard credit activities from a credit monitoring, second line stand point. The position requires a structured and flexible person who enjoys working across departments and contributing to the further development of internal processes. Collaborating closely with the front office credit structuring team, in this second line position.
Core tasks to include but not limited to:
- Handling guarantees end-to-end
- Performing credit checks, breaches, shortfalls etc
- Providing second-level controls on the lending book
- Ensuring close collaboration with various stakeholders, including Front Office, Trading, Legal, and Compliance
Profile
- A completed banking apprenticeship or higher education in Banking/Finance
- Around 2-3 years' experience in credit operations or lombard credit monitoring business within a bank or financial institution
- Strong technical skills, particularly in Microsoft Office and Swift messaging
- A hands-on, solution-oriented mindset with strong organisational abilities
- The ability to prioritise effectively and perform under pressure
- Excellent communication skills to build productive relationships across units
- Fluency in English, with German and French considered an advantage
- Happy to have an office-based job (no home working)
- Already resident in Switzerland with valid work permit or compelling reasons for moving to the Basel region
