To strengthen our Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) team, we are looking for a highly motivated individual who has experience in Business and is interested in Company law in general, and who wishes to develop their career as a Paralegal with exciting challenges. You will work closely with colleagues and contribute your ideas in a dynamic environment.Tasks / your responsibilities:As a Paralegal you play an essential role in law in our successful M&A team and help drive many aspects of our legal transactions:- Preparing and filing documents, maintaining records, and handling other legal support to the company- Assisting with law managing numerous aspects of legal transactions- Intake & Triage: Sorting legal inquiries and referring each inquiry to the appropriate person for resolution- Record keeping, drafting and maintaining documents and filings- Providing annual required support including responding to document requests, complaints and discovery- Contract Management, drafting, reviewing, and managing various contracts such as employment agreements, non-disclosure agreements, vendor contracts, and partnership agreements- Legal research: Researching and keeping up to date with laws, and providing quality support for our lawyers to provide an excellent service to clientsWhat you bring along:- Completed commercial training and/or training as a paralegal or notary degree- Previous knowledge as a notary assistant- Interest in Law, contracts, mergers and acquisitions, compliance- Sound knowledge of MS Office, Outlook, willingness to thrive in a digital environment- French and German as working languages; strong proficiency in English is required- Good work organization and time management, willingness to learn and adapt to expanding own knowledge and skills- Strong service orientation – a client first culture- Respect and enjoy the diversity of cultural, social and academic backgrounds in the Firm- Ability to build strong relationships with clients and take responsibility for those tasks- Ability to work well as part of a team as well as individually- Ability to handle sensitive information and to adhere to company confidentiality and ethical standardsHow your Life with Baker looks:It is simple, as a leading global law firm, we offer you an environment in addition to exciting challenges and a wide range of development opportunities, gives you the chance to make the most of your local and global projects- Individual support through our mentorship program- A variety of training and development opportunities- Regular network meetings on a local and global level- Flexible mobility career models- Flexible choice of the workplace and working hoursShape the future with usWe look forward to receiving your application.
