To complete its team of specialists, the School of Engineering of HES-SO Valais-Wallis is advertising a position at its Industrial Systems Institute for a:

Collaborator at the Earthquake Prevention Educational Centre (CPPS) (50%)

Your mission

• Participate in the development of the CPPS at the Energypolis Campus

• Manage the CPPS occupancy schedule in coordination with facilitators and first aiders

• Supervise visits by safety and civil protection professionals

• Supervise visits by compulsory and post-compulsory education students, as well as the general public

• Support, as needed, Saturday visits to the CPPS for the general public

• Ensure maintenance of equipment and regular updates of the CPPS

Your profile

• Tertiary-level education in the field or equivalent

• Good knowledge of the Valais emergency system’s functioning and organisation

• Proven experience in actions to ensure people’s safety, provide first aid, and save lives

• Experience in adult and child education

• Strong interest in natural hazard prevention

• Excellent knowledge of earthquakes and their consequences

• Autonomy with good teamwork skills and ability to liaise with field partners

• Native French or German speaker with excellent knowledge of the second language (English would be an additional asset)

Work rate 50%

Mitarbeiterin oder Mitarbeiter für das Bildungszentrum für Erdbebenprävention (CPPS) (50%)

Ihre Aufgabe

• Beteiligung an der Entwicklung des CPPS auf dem Campus Energypolis

• Koordination des Belegungsplans des CPPS in enger Zusammenarbeit mit dem Animations- und Samariterteam

• Organisation und Betreuung von Besuchen für Fachpersonen aus den Bereichen Sicherheit und Bevölkerungsschutz

• Organisation und Betreuung von Besuchen für Schülerinnen und Schüler der obligatorischen und nachobligatorischen Schulstufen sowie für die à–ffentlichkeit

• Mitarbeit bei öffentlichen Führungen des CPPS am Samstag

• Sicherstellung der Wartung der Anlagen sowie regelmässige Aktualisierung des CPPS

Ihr Profil

• Hochschulausbildung im relevanten Bereich oder gleichwertige Qualifikation

• Gute Kenntnisse der Organisation und Funktionsweise des Walliser Rettungswesens

• Ausgewiesene Erfahrung in lebensrettenden Sofortmassnahmen und in Erster Hilfe

• Erfahrung in der Erwachsenen- und Kinderbildung

• Ausgeprägtes Interesse an der Prävention von Naturgefahren

• Fundierte Kenntnisse zu Erdbeben und ihren Auswirkungen

• Selbstständige Arbeitsweise, gute Teamfähigkeit sowie Erfahrung in der Zusammenarbeit mit externen Partnern

• Muttersprache Deutsch oder Französisch mit sehr guten Kenntnissen der zweiten Kantonssprache (Englischkenntnisse von Vorteil)
