Head of Complaints and Expertise DepartmentJob DescriptionAs part of your role as Head of the Complaints and Expertise Department within the Complaints Division, your mission is to ensure the management of the department and contribute to the management of the Division.Responsibilities- Provide a vision and foresight in your area of expertise and be a driving force in defining the objectives of the entity.- Coordinate activities within the department and streamline exchanges between the Division management and the entity.- Provide support to the Division Director by ensuring the management of certain files related to the entity's management and cross-functional files.- Deputize for the Division Director in all their missions when necessary: handling emergencies, competencies, and files with partners.- Pilot, plan, and organize the activities of the complaints department to meet defined objectives, define priorities and the action plan, and implement efficient operating rules.- Manage, support, and supervise the work of the team; identify skills within the team, and promote the development of knowledge and skills.- Manage aspects necessary for the proper functioning of the department: working time management, leave, meetings, conducting annual follow-up and development interviews, etc.- Ensure the processing of specific files for the Division Director, including drafting responses to parliamentary items, federal or cantonal requests.- Manage complaints in connection with the Health Council.- Participate in the drafting of responses to cantonal and federal requests on projects of the department.- Provide all necessary information internally or externally on files handled by the department (drafting notes and/or reports for management or all members of the management team).- Manage the planning and monitoring related to projects delegated by the Division Director.- Provide regular reporting to management regarding the progress of work and the evolution of files with key stakeholders; occasionally, draft analysis and summary reports.For further information, please consult the job description by clicking here.Requirements- University Master's degree or equivalent diploma in the health field or diploma in management and/or project management.- A Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) in health law or ethics is an asset.- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in team leadership, as well as 3 years in project management.- Knowledge of the Swiss health system.- Analytical and synthesis skills, global vision, and ability to be a driving force.- Ability to represent, negotiate, and develop in decision-making contexts and leadership.- Good self-control and stress management.- Ability to work in a team and independently, spirit of mutual aid, and sensitivity.- Excellent writing skills and communication skills.- Knowledge of German (B2) and English.To have all the necessary elements for the analysis of your application, please send us, in addition to your CV, a cover letter as well as your work certificates and diplomas.Who are we?At the General Directorate of Health, we work to ensure that the entire population benefits from favorable health conditions and quality solutions, respectful of their rights and ethics, and for health professionals at the heart of the response to the evolving needs of the population.
