An Italian pharmaceutical and chemical company with a long history in the healthcare industry is currently seeking a seasoned Senior Medical Advisor for its Ticino branch with expertise in Parkinson's disease and the CNS therapeutic area to play a pivotal role in the company`s mission, which has a global presence and operates in various therapeutic areas, including respiratory, central nervous system (CNS), and women's health


Chief Medical Officer Ticino – Parkinson`s Disease and CNS Therapeutics


In the CNS therapeutic area, the company has been involved in the development of drugs for neurological and psychiatric disorders. This includes medications targeting conditions such as Parkinson's disease and schizophrenia.


Your tasks



  • Oversee the medical aspects from prelaunch to lifecycle management of our CNS portfolio

  • Provide strategic medical insights to internal teams, including research and development, regulatory affairs, and marketing, based on the latest scientific developments and treatment guidelines

  • Spearhead medical input and support in the design, planning, and execution of clinical trials related to Parkinson's disease, ensuring strict adherence to regulatory standards and ethical guidelines

  • Lead collaboration with cross-functional teams to formulate and execute robust medical strategies aligned with the overall product development plan for CNS/Parkinson's disease therapies

  • Drive impactful contributions to commercial and product-related activities such as market sizing, positioning, pricing, reimbursement, and patient advocacy

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive medical education and training programs for internal teams, healthcare professionals, and key opinion leaders to enhance their understanding of Parkinson's disease and related treatment options

  • Ensure meticulous adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards, including pharmacovigilance and compliance with relevant laws and guidelines

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders, healthcare professionals, and academic institutions to gather insights, disseminate scientific knowledge, and foster collaboration in the field of Parkinson's disease

  • Adress inquiries from healthcare professionals, patients, and internal stakeholders regarding medical information related to Parkinson's disease products, ensuring accurate and compliant communication

  • Collaborate closely with teams such as marketing, market access, and commercial operations to provide strategic medical input and support in the development of marketing strategies, market access initiatives, and promotional materials

  • Lead contributions to the development of scientific publications, including manuscripts, abstracts, and presentations, communicating clinical data and research findings related to Parkinson's disease products

  • Actively participate in advisory boards, expert meetings, and scientific conferences to share insights, gather feedback, and contribute to the scientific community's understanding of Parkinson's disease and its management

  • Identify new opportunities in the CNS therapeutic area, actively participate in Due Diligence, develop gap analyses, and contribute to commercial activities such as market size, positioning in therapy, pricing, and reimbursement


Your qualifications



  • Medical degree with a minimum of 10 years of professional experience

  • >5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry or service industry (CRO) with a strong collaboration background in the medical field

  • Strong scientific background in neurology or a related field

  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and leadership skills

  • Fluency in English
