General Manager (60 to 70%)APS – Allianz der Produzent:innen Schweiz / Alliance des producteur·rice·s suisses / Alleanza dei produttori e delle produttrici svizzeri is the new professional association for independent film producers. It also brings together production companies and screenwriters. The association defends the interests of its members before authorities, film support institutions, television channels, political bodies, and the public. It is committed to favorable framework conditions for independent production, effective support instruments, and a solid professional network, both in Switzerland and abroad.The General Manager ensures the daily management of the association and supports the co-presidency in the exercise of its responsibilities. They also represent APS before political authorities, film support institutions, the media, and industry partners. In this capacity, they actively contribute to the implementation of the structures and processes necessary for the development of a new association. The workplace is to be defined and will be determined jointly with the future General Manager as part of the establishment of the association. The start date is scheduled for immediately or by agreement.MissionsManagement and Administration- Implement the strategies defined by the presidency and the committee.- Prepare committee meetings and general assemblies, draft minutes, and ensure follow-up on decisions.- Coordinate working groups, specialized commissions, and association seminars.Advocacy, External Representation, and Networking- Defend and represent the interests of the association before political bodies, authorities - notably the Federal Office of Culture (FOC) - film support institutions, and other relevant decision-makers.- Develop and implement a lobbying and advocacy strategy focusing on public funding, support instruments, production conditions, and the competitiveness of Switzerland as a production location.- Organize professional events, notably within the framework of the Locarno Film Festival, the Solothurn Film Festival, the Zurich Film Festival, and other industry events.- Represent the association within working groups and commissions of specialized bodies, in coordination with the committee.- Develop and maintain relationships with partners, collective management societies, as well as relevant institutions in Switzerland and abroad.Management and Support of Members- Ensure member follow-up, process membership applications, and develop relationships with existing members.- Be the contact person for requests, needs, and concerns of producers, and develop services and offers adapted to members.Communication (French / German)- Develop and implement the communication strategy.- Draft press releases, position papers, and other materials, and coordinate communication channels.Profile- Experience in the field of association management, advocacy, cultural policy, or comparable management roles.- Ease in interacting with authorities, political bodies, and institutional partners; excellent negotiation and communication skills.- Good command of French and German; proficiency in English is an asset.- Committed and engaged personality, endowed with a strategic vision and capable of working autonomously.- Assets: An established network in the Swiss film and audiovisual sector as well as experience in the management of an association or a similar structure.We Offer- A central role in the creation and development of a new, large-scale professional association.- A varied, stimulating function at the interface between culture, politics, and the economy.- Close collaboration with the co-presidency and an engaged committee, as well as a rich and diverse network covering the entire sector.- Flexible working conditions, with the possibility of remote work.- Presence required at major festivals and professional events in the industry.We look forward to receiving your complete application file (cover letter, CV, references) by August 24. jid2d3782aaen jit0833aen jpiy26aen
