Attached to the Vaud Judicial Order, the ten debt collection offices in the canton are responsible for the debt collection procedure, from the notification of the payment order to the collection of the debt or the issuance of the act of default of assets. They also maintain various registers and issue extracts.

Debt Collection Office of the Riviera - Pays-d'Enhaut district, which employs nearly 30 collaborators, is looking for a chief bailiff of a debt collection office.

Responsibilities

  • Lead an enforcement sector and contribute to the ongoing training of collaborators and apprentices.
  • Provide assistance and technical support to bailiffs of a Debt Collection Office for complex cases and files.
  • Carry out the necessary enforcement operations to settle debtors' debts and conduct debtor interrogations.
  • Execute seizures, sequestrations, and inventories for rents.
  • Draft reports intended for the parties involved in the procedure.
  • Manage income seizure and movable property sale files.
  • Manage real estate files.

Qualifications

  • Commercial employee CFC completed in a debt collection or bankruptcy office.
  • General training certificate in enforcement or possibly modules 1 and 2 with a commitment to obtain module 3.
  • Six years of professional experience in debt collection or bankruptcy.
  • Team management training or commitment to obtain it.
  • Conflict management skills, assertiveness.
  • Public service orientation, very good stress resistance.
  • Good organisation, initiative, speed, accuracy.
  • Mastery of spelling and ease with common IT tools.
  • Driving licence and availability of a private vehicle desired.

Many professional development and continuing education opportunities exist within the Debt Collection and Bankruptcy Offices.

As part of the recruitment process, candidates will be required to present an extract from the debt collection register and criminal record less than 3 months old.
