For our client based in Geneva, we're looking for a quickly available Chief Accountant to supervise accounting across multiple entities.

Our client is a Geneva-based FMCG international player.

Description

The Chief Accountant will be asked to do the following:

- Coordinate and supervise monthly closing and all general ledger accounts (Swiss/IFRS standars), as well as monthly accounting reviews and reconciliations and taw regulations.

- Prepare and record closing entries (payroll, leasing IFRS 16, fixed assets, provisions, prepaid expenses)

- Manage VAT returns and corporate income tax declarations

- Deliver ad hoc financial analyses and reportings

- Maintain and update master files and approval matrix

- Propose and implement process improvements

Profile

The candidates for the Chief Accountant should present the following:*

- Higher education in Accounting or Master's degree (major in Accounting and/or Finance)

- 5+ years of experience in general accounting and taxation (VAT, corporate tax), with GL responsibilities in an international environment

- Strong knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS and Swiss GAAP)

- Advanced proficiency in Excel and Office suite, experience on Microsoft Dynamics preferred

- English and French mandatory

- Team spirit, excellent communication skills, dedication
