Head of the Automobile and Navigation ServiceThe Automobile and Navigation Service (SAN) fulfills a public safety mission: ensuring that every driver and vehicle meets safety requirements to protect all users. As Head of Service, you carry the vision of the service and steer its implementation. You direct activities while ensuring rigorous management of human, financial, and technical resources. In an environment undergoing significant change - marked by digital transition and the construction of a new building - you mobilize your teams to offer quality services, combining efficiency and proximity to the user.Responsibilities- Define the objectives of the SAN in coordination with the Head of Department.- Provide support to the Head of Department on files within your scope, while ensuring optimal coordination with the General Secretariat.- Accompany the evolution of professional practices linked to digitalization and the future relocation of the service.- Ensure the management of the SAN, lead the management board, manage human and financial resources, while ensuring compliance with standards and procedures.- Support the development of staff skills while ensuring the maintenance of a respectful and secure work environment.- Work towards the efficiency of the service, the quality of services, and the optimization of processes.- Represent the SAN to internal and external partners, as well as within intercantonal and federal bodies (asa, asn, OFROU).Profile- University degree in a field relevant to the position (technical, commercial, or economic).- Proven managerial experience within a large organization or expertise in large-scale project management and change management, with a proven ability to integrate legal and regulatory dimensions.- Sense of responsibility and public service, leadership, ability to navigate between political sense, strategic analysis, and operational sense.- Quality and efficiency-oriented mindset.- Strong personal leadership (self-control and stress management, ability to step back, etc.).- Proficiency in the German language, ideally level B2/C1.Miscellaneous- The recruitment process includes a background check.WHO ARE WE?Do you want to work in a dynamic service that is on the move?
