Funeral Services, Cemeteries and the City of GenevaCemetery Manager at 100%The Funeral Services, Cemeteries and the City of Geneva (SPF) has the primary mission of providing, with dignity, for the funerals of persons who have died within the territory of the City, the canton of Geneva, as well as any person who has died in Switzerland or abroad. It assists grieving families and ensures the management of cemeteries and funeral facilities made available. In order to strengthen the Municipal Cemeteries unit of the SPF, we are looking for a Cemetery Manager at 100%.Your mission and responsibilities- Manage and supervise the entire cemetery sector at the legal, managerial, and financial levels.- Supervise the cemetery team (5 cemetery caretakers).- Ensure compliance with current regulations and the quality of services offered to the public.- Guarantee defined objectives by ensuring the satisfaction of families and stakeholders (other City of Geneva services, florists, stonemasons, private funeral homes, etc.).- Organize and optimize the daily workflow according to the needs of the service.- Ensure work that combines administrative tasks and field interventions (providing information to the public, exchanges with the Green Spaces Service (SEVE) and with all companies operating in our cemeteries: florists, stonemasons, etc.).Your profile- Hold a Bachelor's degree in law (or equivalent) and justify 3 to 5 years of experience in a legal field.- Justify a minimum of 5 years of experience in team management.- Demonstrate listening skills and empathy and know how to deal with a demanding emotional context.- Demonstrate a keen sense of rigor and excellent writing skills.- Master current software (Microsoft Office) and excel in the command of French, both orally and in writing.- Possess a valid driver's license.- A minimum of 3 years of experience in the public sector, experience in the funeral field, mastery of SAP as well as the fluent command of another language (English, Italian, or German) constitute assets.Application procedureApplication deadline:Start date: To be agreed uponJob classification: Class I of the salary scaleThe application file must contain the following elements:- Cover letter- Curriculum Vitae or, failing that, a completed Job Application form (to be downloaded from our website)- Copies of diplomas and work certificatesFollow-up of applicationsFor the City of Geneva, the recruitment process is decentralized.
