We are currently recruiting a Biosafety Officer / HSE Systems for a 12-month temporary assignment site in Stein, a key role within a highly scientific environment, where you will be responsible for ensuring full compliance with Swiss biosafety and supporting safe research and production activities.Biosafety Officer / HSE Systems Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and continuously improve the site biosafety management system with Swiss (ESV, SAMV, GTG)- Ensure compliance with Biosafety Levels 1–4 across research and production areas- Conduct risk assessments to biological agents and GMOs, defining containment measures- Act as the main point of contact with authorities (FOEN and cantonal bodies)- Prepare and submit permit changes and ensure ongoing compliance- Deliver biosafety training programs- Conduct inspections and audits, including corrective action follow-up- Provide expert guidance to cross-functional teams (R&D, production, site management)Your Profile- MSc or PhD in Biology, Microbiology, Biotechnology, or a related field- Several years of hands-on experience working with biological agents in a scientific environment- Strong expertise in Swiss biosafety (ESV, SAMV, GTG)- Proven experience in regulatory affairs and interaction with authorities- Solid understanding of biosafety levels (BSL 1–4) and risk assessment methodologies- Experience in GMP/GLP environments is an advantage- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and advise stakeholders- Autonomous, structured, and proactive mindset- Fluent in German and proficiency in English requiredIf you are a biosafety expert looking for a challenging role in a highly scientific environment, we would be happy to hear from you. jid5df99cbaen jit0417aen jpiy26aen
