Composed of nine medical services, its mission is to provide high-quality medical diagnostics, therapeutic products, therapeutic acts, and specialized clinics, as quickly as possible and at an acceptable cost, to guide patient care and contribute to therapeutic decisions and actions.The Genetic Medicine Service is a clinical service, with research and teaching activities. In addition to genetic counseling for patients and families, preceding or following constitutional genetics analyses, the Genetic Medicine Service works in close collaboration with the Service (Oncology Department) to offer cytogenomic analyses in the context of neoplasias. The objective is to ensure diagnostic, prognostic, and therapeutic support in the context of these pathologies.The Cytogenetics Laboratory is an accredited laboratory that performs analyses using methods of conventional karyotyping, fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH), and molecular cytogenetics by DNA microarray (SNP array) in the field of hematological diseases such as leukemias, myelomas, and lymphomas.Biomedical Laboratory Technician in Cytogenetics - 80%Within the Cytogenetics Laboratory, you perform analyses according to the techniques in place and those in development, in compliance with the laboratory's procedures. You are able to adapt the analytical strategy according to the clinical context.You prepare samples after receipt and ensure their pre-analytical handling, cell counting, culture setup, harvesting and monitoring, processing according to the clinical context, cell fixation and slide preparation, for conventional and molecular cytogenetic analyses of neoplasias.You participate in the daily activities of the laboratory as well as in the development of new genetic diagnostic methods based on advanced molecular approaches. Versatile, you have at least one year of specific experience in cytogenetics. You commit to quality assurance activities and actively contribute to the service's accreditation processes.This list of tasks is not to be considered exhaustive. The missions may vary according to the specific needs of the service.You hold a diploma as a Biomedical Laboratory Technician (ES) or a title deemed equivalent. You possess good experience in cytogenetics (constitutional and acquired: sample handling, DNA extraction, cell culture, cell fixation, chromosomal banding, karyotyping, FISH, QF PCR).You are able to work in the context of a quality system based on the ISO standard. You master current software, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).Your rigor, sense of responsibility, and autonomy allow you to execute the tasks dedicated to you optimally.
