HYDRO Exploitation SA is an important service provider, particularly active in the operation and maintenance of power generation plants. We bring together all the necessary skills under one roof, from maintenance personnel to engineering.

We operate and maintain a portfolio of more than 40 hydropower plants. Their installed capacity corresponds to approximately 22% of the hydropower capacity available in Switzerland (25% including the pumping stations). Together, the plants we operate generate about 16% of Switzerland's hydropower electricity.

Automation Engineer

Workplace : Hybrid

Your mission :

In the Automation & Control unit, as an experienced automation engineer, you lead projects in control technology and communication in the fields of hydropower, water management, and water treatment. Since operation is our core business, you also contribute to maintenance and interventions on the operated plants.

Your tasks :

• Program industrial controllers and carry out their commissioning
• Strengthen and further develop the competencies of the Automation & Control unit in the implementation of industrial automation systems
• Participate in the implementation of technical concepts as well as in the development and preventive or predictive maintenance of the control technology of the operated plants
• Conduct and lead large, complex automation and network projects from detailed study to commissioning as technical manager
• Organise and coordinate technicians, manufacturers, and third-party providers within the scope of projects

Your skills :

• FH/ETH engineer in automation with at least 3 years of professional experience
• Good knowledge of Siemens and Schneider controllers
• Knowledge and/or experience in data science / machine learning is an advantage
• Desired experience in hydropower plants or power generation plants
• Excellent sense of responsibility and safety awareness
• Native French or German speaker with very good knowledge of the other language
