About Our Client ##
Our client is a leading global oncology and hematology organization in Basel, looking for an experienced HEOR professional to support their team in contributing to high-impact HEOR initiatives across innovative hematology assets, for around six months Jan-June 2027.
Job Description ##
Your main tasks include:
- Supporting and managing HEOR activities across hematology assets in Europe and New Markets, delivering evidence for HTA, reimbursement, and broader evidence needs.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify evidence gaps and prioritize HEOR activities based on regional and local requirements.
- Developing and executing HEOR evidence-generation activities, including comparative effectiveness research, real-world evidence, and economic analyses.
- Supporting the development, review, and quality assurance of HEOR studies and deliverables, including protocols, analysis plans, reports, and publications.
- Contributing to European HTA and EU Joint Clinical Assessment (JCA) strategies, including planning and executing required evidence-generation activities.
- Supporting JCA PICO planning by assessing populations, subgroups, comparators, outcomes, evidence gaps, and feasibility considerations.
- Leading or supporting comparative evidence generation for JCA and other HTA requirements.
- Evaluating clinical, external, and real-world data with internal and external stakeholders to address evidence gaps and inform evidence-generation approaches.
- Managing external HEOR vendors and projects, overseeing scope, methodology, timelines, deliverables, and quality control.
- Supporting the interpretation and communication of HEOR evidence, including methodological considerations and implications for HTA decision-making.
- Providing additional HEOR support across the hematology portfolio as business priorities evolve.
The Successful Applicant ##
- Master's degree or PhD in Health Economics, Outcomes Research, Epidemiology, Public Health, Statistics or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in HEOR, HTA, RWE or comparative effectiveness research, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry or consulting.
- Good understanding of European HTA and evidence requirements; knowledge or experience with the EU HTA Regulation and JCA would be a strong asset.
- Experience with comparative effectiveness methods such as ITC/NMA and population-adjusted approaches (e.g. MAIC/STC) would be highly desirable.
- Experience designing, managing and critically reviewing HEOR studies and working with external research vendors.
- Knowledge or experience in hematology/oncology would be an asset.
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to translate evidence gaps into practical research activities.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional matrix environment and manage multiple projects and changing priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Highly organized, proactive and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
