## Job Description ##
We have an exciting opportunity for a **Associate Category Manager** to join a leading international healthcare organization based in Bern, Switzerland. This is an office-based role within a strategic procurement office where you can add genuine value and have a significant impact.
This role will support strategic sourcing activities across a global portfolio of pharmaceutical products, working closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to deliver commercial value, strengthen supplier partnerships, and ensure continuity of supply across international markets.
**Key responsibilities as Associate Category Manager include:**
* Support strategic sourcing initiatives across a portfolio of generic pharmaceutical products
* Assist with supplier negotiations, contract management, and commercial programs to deliver cost savings and value creation
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with global suppliers, ensuring service, quality, and supply continuity
* Support competitive tender processes, pricing analysis and market intelligence activities
* Collaborate with Finance and cross-functional teams to resolve supplier and commercial issues
* Contribute to category planning, reporting, and strategic projects across the wider procurement function
**The ideal candidate profile:**
* Degree qualified with experience in Procurement, Category Management, Supply Chain, or the pharmaceutical industry
* Understanding of sourcing in a Pharmaceutical environment, or healthcare procurement is highly desirable
* Commercially minded with experience supporting supplier negotiations and contract management
* Strong analytical skills with experience using Excel and other reporting tools
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong supplier relationships
* Fluent in English, with willingness to travel internationally on occasion
