Assistant Librarian-Documentalist - Book Reception OfficerJob DescriptionDue to the size of its collections, the Cantonal and University Library - Lausanne (BCUL) is one of the largest libraries in Switzerland. A public cultural and academic institution, the Cantonal and University Library - Lausanne (BCUL) reports to the Directorate General of Culture (DGC).You are an essential link in our acquisition chain. Rigorous and methodical, you ensure the receipt of works and ensure perfect conformity between orders, deliveries, and invoices. Your attention to detail and ease with numbers are essential for this position. As part of your duties, you will be required to work at two BCUL sites.ResponsibilitiesRiponne Site 45%- Ensure the receipt of works for the BCUL, Riponne site (excluding periodicals) and verify the conformity of orders.- Reclassify documents.- Ensure the processing of documents acquired by the BCUL, Riponne site.- Manage open-access collections.- Occasionally perform various administrative tasks.Unithèque Site 25%- Receive works for the Unithèque site (excluding periodicals).- Verify the conformity of orders.- Register works in the ordering software.- Verify invoices.- Manage anomalies.- Forward works and partially manage the tracking and payment of acquisition supplier invoices.- Occasionally perform various administrative tasks.For further information, please consult the job descriptions by clicking here.Profile- CFC in Information and Documentation or equivalent qualification.- Minimum 3 years of experience in the library sector.- Proficiency in MS Office.- German and English, level A2.- Ease with numbers and management of administrative tasks.- Team spirit, mutual aid, and autonomy.- Flexibility and mobility (position based on two different sites, Unithèque and Riponne).WHO ARE WE?Serving cultural actors, the population, and the territory, the Directorate General of Culture (DGC), composed of nearly 450 employees, develops and implements the cantonal public policy in cultural matters.
