Assistant in Rural Sociology


Your areas of activity with us

  • Work on societal and social issues in agriculture, including alpine economy
  • Support for teachers in rural sociology education
  • Participation in ongoing and upcoming research projects of the rural sociology group | BFH
  • Alongside this position, you are encouraged to undertake a master’s degree at HAFL and write your thesis on one of the research group’s themes

Your background, ideally

  • Bachelor’s degree (university of applied sciences, university or ETH) in geography, sociology, anthropology, agronomy or a related field
  • Experience in the field of agriculture (studies, internship, family background, etc.)
  • Experience in social science methodology and, if possible, in rural sociology
  • Curiosity and enthusiasm for working within a small team on varied and often interdisciplinary topics
  • Native French speaker with good knowledge of German
