We will achieve this togetherArchitectural Project EngineerWe will achieve this togetherWithin SIG, the Engineering Solutions and Projects Department (SPI) offers innovative engineering solutions for the renewal and development of SIG networks and structures in a multi-fluid approach. It manages SIG engineering projects by guaranteeing deadlines, costs, quality, and risk management throughout the project lifecycle.Attached to the Environment, Construction and Hydraulics unit, Architectural Project Engineers lead or contribute to projects for the creation and extension of structures related to all SIG business branches (high-voltage electrical substations, water pumping and treatment plants, gas facilities, thermal production plants, etc.). In this capacity, they manage projects by integrating ecological, technical, and human issues at each phase, in an economic, environmental, and stakeholder acceptability-seeking logic.They also contribute, as experts, to architectural and general construction issues, BIM (Building Information Modelling), and the legal framework of construction within structure projects carried out by SIG. In parallel, they lead or support building permit applications on behalf of SIG and coordinate SIG's positions within notices regarding third-party projects.Furthermore, Architectural Project Engineers act as an interface with competent authorities and offices (OAC, OCAN, OCIRT, Fire Police, SERMA, SABRA, etc.). They represent SIG, carry the files, and conduct the necessary exchanges and negotiations for the successful completion of projects.Energy at the service of a sustainable GenevaAs an Architectural Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the following tasks:- Lead or manage the studies of several projects in parallel, from the opportunity study to the commissioning of the structure;- Draft specifications, establish tender documents, and evaluate proposed technical solutions;- Lead planners and companies;- Develop and carry building permit applications;- Control and assess the proper execution of work performed;- Provide advice and expertise on aspects related to architecture, low-carbon construction, and structure management, particularly their long-term durability;- Develop partnerships and negotiate with external stakeholders;- Develop relationships and professional networks (cantonal and federal offices, cantonal commissions, industry associations, companies, etc.).Your personality and skillsThis position requires the following skills:- Advanced technical knowledge in the field of architecture;- Proven experience in project management, specifically for complex and/or industrial structures;- Very good knowledge of the legal and Genevan context as well as the processes leading to building permits;- Sense of responsibility, rigor, synthesis skills, availability, proactivity, versatility;- Ability to analyze and solve problems in the field of activity and ability to negotiate and convince;- Teamwork, communication skills, and writing proficiency;- Mastery of 2D/3D design/drawing software (AutoCAD, Revit) and BIM methodology.Holder of an EPF architect diploma, university degree, or equivalent with more than 3 years of experience in their specific field, or HES with more than 5 years of experience in their specific field, you ideally have more than 5 years of professional experience in project management. In addition to your technical expertise, you have good experience in stakeholder management, financial management, and project risk management. You are familiar with cantonal and federal aspects and building permit processes.
