Administrative Assistant in Teaching and Research (m/f/d)

The Chair of Plant Evolutionary Genetics led by Prof. Kirsten Bomblies is based at the Institute of Molecular Plant Biology within the Department of Biology. To strengthen our team, we are seeking an Administrative Assistant for Teaching and Research starting 1 September 2026.

Job Description

  • The varied range of tasks includes administrative support for teaching and research at the Chair of Prof. Kirsten Bomblies at the ETH Zurich Hönggerberg campus
  • This includes general secretarial duties, organisation and management of administrative processes, event organisation, correspondence in German and English, scheduling, and coordination with various departments within ETH Zurich’s central services
  • Furthermore, you will be responsible for maintaining and further developing our website in the AEM Content Management System and supporting our technicians in the laboratory

Profile

  • You have completed commercial training and/or hold a degree from a university of applied sciences or university
  • In both cases, we expect solid professional knowledge in administration as well as personnel and financial management
  • You are a team player, characterised by a very independent, structured and reliable working style, and act proactively, discreetly and service-oriented
  • Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken, as well as confident use of common IT applications are required
