Assistant to the Departmental Financial ManagerJob DescriptionWithin the general secretariat, you contribute to the steering and financial management of the Department of Economy, Innovation, Employment and Heritage (DEIEP) in support of the Departmental Financial Manager. In this context, you participate in the planning and monitoring of financial data, the coordination of activities, and the development of management tools. You work in a cross-functional environment, in close liaison with the services, in order to support rigorous, coherent management that complies with public finance standards.Responsibilities- Support the Departmental Financial Manager in the analysis and processing of financial files, in particular credit requests, carry-overs, and items submitted to the authorities.- Develop and steer the general secretariat's budget, ensure quarterly and annual closings, analyze variances, and make necessary adjustments.- Supervise accounting management by guaranteeing the compliance and reliability of financial data as well as the monitoring and reconciliation of accounts.- Develop and maintain the internal control system by identifying risks, structuring processes, and documenting key controls.- Contribute to departmental financial processes, particularly in terms of budget preparation and reporting.For further information, please consult the job description by clicking here.Profile- Higher education degree in business economics or a qualification deemed equivalent.- Federal diploma as a specialist in finance and accounting.- Several years of confirmed experience in accounting and management control, ideally in the public sector or a large organization.- Excellent command of Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, analytical and synthesis skills, sense of organization, and rigor).- Ability to work in a cross-functional environment, sense of public service, and team spirit.Who are we?Our general secretariat supports the Councilor in charge of the Department of Economy, Innovation, Employment and Heritage (DEIEP) in the management of items submitted to the Council of State and responses provided to the Grand Council.
