• Reporting to the Finance Department, you oversee accounting activities and manage an experienced team of 3 colleagues.
• You also contribute to the development of financial processes by participating in optimisation projects, digitalisation, and the development of the MCH2 environment.

Our client, a public organisation in the Lausanne region, is seeking a 100% Accounting Manager for a permanent position.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all accounting operations and ensure the reliability of periodic and annual closings.
• Manage cash flow, monitor financial transactions, and ensure compliance with tax and regulatory obligations.
• Lead, support, and develop an accounting team composed of several colleagues with complementary profiles.
• Act as a business reference for various departments and provide technical support on financial and accounting matters.
• Participate in budget preparation, financial analyses, and reporting tasks for management.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes and the implementation of transformation and digitalisation projects.
• Ensure the functional administration of the accounting ERP and oversee its optimal use.
• Support the organisation in evolving its accounting practices and consolidating new standards and management tools.

Candidate Profile

• Federal diploma as a specialist in finance and accounting, Bachelor’s degree in economics, or equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience of 10 to 15 years in accounting, with strong operational skills in general accounting and closings.
• Previous experience within a public administration, semi-public, or similar institutional environment.
• Successful initial experience in team management or cross-functional coordination of accounting activities.
• Good knowledge of public sector accounting standards and practices; experience related to an MCH2 project is a real asset.
• Excellent knowledge of VAT and financial control principles.
• Very good command of IT tools, especially Excel and a financial ERP such as Abacus.
• Fluent in French (C2 level), both written and spoken.
• Pedagogical personality, able to support teams, explain financial issues, and collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
• Continuous improvement mindset, interest in optimisation projects, and ability to evolve processes in a transforming environment.
• Autonomy, sense of responsibility, and ability to operate in a trusted role with high internal visibility.
