For the Central Public Prosecutor's Office, we are looking for an accountant to assist the Head of Accounting and Statistics.

The Public Prosecutor's Office is the criminal prosecution authority for the entire Vaud territory. It therefore directs the preliminary criminal procedure and investigations into offences brought to its attention, when they concern adults. It also represents the prosecution before courts and various judicial bodies.

The Public Prosecutor's Office consists of the Central Public Prosecutor's Office, the 4 district offices, and the Cantonal Public Prosecutor's Office STRADA.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and ensure the proper maintenance of the Public Prosecutor's Office accounting
  • Prepare the budget and monitor it
  • Manage statistics and indicators
  • Supervise the management of sequestrations

In addition to the above activities, you may be required to perform specific tasks, notably related to the SCI and financial projects.

Qualifications

  • Federal Certificate of Capacity (CFC) as a commercial employee or equivalent qualification
  • Proven experience in a similar position, ideally in public administration
  • Continuing education in finance and accounting is an asset
  • Comfortable with IT tools, mainly Excel
  • Knowledge of SAP software is a strong asset
  • Rigour, adaptability, team spirit and good listening skills
  • Flexibility, stress resistance and discretion
  • Respect for standards and procedures, analytical and synthesis skills
  • Organisational skills, sense of responsibility and public service ethics
  • Clean criminal record and free from prosecutions or bankruptcy proceedings

Engaging in a secondary activity in the same field is considered a conflict of interest and is therefore incompatible with the position.
