Description
The Public Institutions for Integration (EPI) have the mission to contribute to the well-being and social and/or professional integration of people with disabilities or facing difficulties in professional and/or social integration. More than 900 people are supported in very varied contexts.
Within the EPI, the Socio-Educational Services are responsible for supporting people with intellectual developmental disabilities and/or autism spectrum disorders and/or psychiatric disorders by offering them occupational and individualised development activities or home support.
The Mikado apartment mainly accommodates people with severe intellectual disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), requiring sustained support.
Job Description- Integrate the concerned individuals into community life by highlighting their skills and resources, while respecting their rights and duties.
- Provide personalised socio-educational support, consistent with the institutional policy "Integration and Support".
- Maintain positive contacts with the individuals concerned, in line with the socio-educational values of the EPI.
- Support individuals in their daily lives and provide support adapted to their needs and resources.
- Participate in the implementation and evaluation, within a multidisciplinary educational team, of socio-educational activities.
- Facilitate social, cultural, leisure and/or work activities.
- Know how to respond appropriately to difficult and/or complex situations.
- Ensure direct functional contacts and relationships with all sectors and various external partners.
- Carry out the administrative tasks inherent to the position.
- A Federal VET Diploma (CFC) as a socio-educational assistant or any other training deemed equivalent.
- A strong interest in the fields of psychiatric disability and/or intellectual disability and/or addiction, as well as the willingness to develop knowledge in these areas.
- Previous experience in a similar position and with this type of population is an asset.
- Demonstrate a service spirit towards vulnerable populations.
- Show a strong sense of responsibility and open-mindedness.
- Possess well-developed interpersonal skills, ease in communication and a strong taste for teamwork.
- Have flexible working hours.
- Master common office tools (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and specific professional tools available within the Institutions.
- Master the French language.
