The duties are generally the same as those of a permanent nurse, but with a quicker dimension as they may be required to change departments. The main duties include: 1. Providing care to patients 2. Surveillance and security 3. Patient education and support 5. Adaptability The nurse must quickly integrate into a service they may not always know, be able to adapt to different audiences, and respond to the occasional needs of the establishment (replacing a colleague, assistance during peak activity). The polyvalent nurse takes on care missions and responsibilities of a qualified nurse but with the particularity of being flexible, reactive, and able to quickly adapt to different departments.
