The Municipality of Montreux is advertising a position for:

Main tasks:

  • Conduct studies and develop preliminary projects with variant research
  • Manage and prepare projects, specifications and calls for tenders
  • Manage construction sites, establish measurements and accounts of completed works
  • Participate in drafting proposals, reports and recommendations
  • Collaborate with the relevant municipal services during the development and implementation of planning projects
  • Control developments at the interface between public and private domains, inform landowners and other agents about the public domain and municipal collectors
  • Participate in the management of public infrastructure
  • Manage permits for the use of public land
  • Ensure compliance with budgets and investment accounts

Desired profile:

  • Federal Certificate of Competence (CFC) as a civil engineering draughtsperson, technician or equivalent training
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in civil engineering project management and site supervision
  • Good knowledge of road construction techniques and underground networks
  • Knowledge of standards in road construction and underground networks
  • Knowledge of the catalogue of standardised articles (CAN) and legislation related to the activity, particularly public procurement law
  • Good writing skills and accurate spelling
  • Organisational skills and initiative
  • Collaborative spirit, interpersonal skills and public service orientation
  • Rigorous and meticulous person
  • Sense of responsibility and discretion
  • Knowledge of computer-aided design (CAD) and CAN software (Messerli or similar)
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools
