With more than 160 professions represented, the Geneva University Hospitals are a reference institution at the national level. The position is in the energy sector of the Real Estate Directorate, which aims to define an operational strategy for the real estate portfolio (m2 across 7 major sites), develop the coherence of monitoring major projects according to scheme X, in close collaboration with key services in the Department of Territory, the Department of Infrastructure, and the Department of Health, optimize the monitoring of spaces and ensure its future, while guaranteeing the smooth operation of services. More than 230 professionals carry out their missions daily with a constant sense of rigor, service, and responsibility. The position is developed in the context of the European research project Horizon Europe INBLANC. Horizon Europe is currently the largest and most ambitious research and innovation funding program of the European Union (EU). It aims to strengthen the competitiveness of the EU and stimulate growth through excellent research. One of the central pillars on which the program X Global Challenges and European Industrial Competitiveness is based supports projects in areas such as health, climate change, energy, and mobility. It is in this context that the European research project INBLANC is situated, for which the University Hospitals play the role of a case study. As a project manager engineer within the energy sector, you represent HUG in the European project X INBLANC. You work closely with project partners, notably Estia SA, based at the EPFL Park in Lausanne, and are required to travel there regularly. You represent the interests of HUG as the testbed of the project, particularly by applying the diagnostic methods EPIQR+ on the real estate portfolio of HUG during updates or the creation of new diagnostics. EPIQR+ is a rapid and reliable diagnostic method for cost estimation. You participate in the development and improvement of new diagnostics of the EPIQR+ method regarding the resilience of buildings and their compatibility and adaptability to thermal networks. With a transverse approach, you coordinate the collection of data (energy and economic, notably) within HUG to feed the research project. You ensure their reliability and handle confidentiality aspects. Furthermore, you contribute to the implementation of a monitoring system for the indoor environmental quality of premises and energy systems to validate models developed in INBLANC. Additionally, you manage the organizational and logistical aspects of the project (report production, event planning), and you hold a Master's degree in engineering in the fields of energy or the environment. You also demonstrate a particular interest in research, method development, and possess knowledge and/or justify experience in the field of real estate, associated techniques, and the environment. You have excellent mastery of office tools, abstraction, and analytical skills, and you have a sense of service and responsibility. You demonstrate autonomy in research and adopt a solution-oriented approach. You enjoy taking on challenges in a demanding environment and on the project; you distinguish yourself by your ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams. You value clear and constructive communication, fostering the exchange of best practices and mutual support within the team.
