Mechanical Technician / Engineer (100%)

About the company

An innovative SME with around forty employees, we develop, manufacture and market horological measuring instruments and technical equipment intended for demanding industrial clients. Our activity covers the entire product lifecycle, from design to manufacturing, including testing, commissioning and continuous improvement.

Your mission

Within our technical team, you will participate in the mechanical development of new products as well as the improvement of our existing equipment. You will work in a multidisciplinary environment combining mechanics, electronics, software and production.

Main responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies.
• Conduct feasibility studies, simple calculations and technical choices.
• Create 3D models and manufacturing drawings.
• Participate in prototype development and validation testing.
• Ensure technical follow-up with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Contribute to the industrialisation of new products.
• Provide technical support to production and after-sales service.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of products and processes.
• Manage technical documentation and bill of materials.

Profile sought

Education

• ES Technician in mechanical engineering, microtechnology or industrial product design
• Or HES/EPF engineer in mechanics, mechatronics or microtechnology.

Experience

• First successful experience in product development or mechanical construction.
• Experience in measuring instruments, special machines, microtechnology or industrial equipment is an asset.

Technical skills

• Proficiency in a 3D CAD software (Inventor ideally).
• Knowledge of mechanical manufacturing processes (machining, sheet metal, plastic injection, assembly).
• Understanding of tolerances, dimension chains and manufacturing methods.
• Basic project management and technical documentation skills.
• Knowledge in mechatronics or electronics integration appreciated.
