Lawyer or Economist - Asset Management Specialist (m/f/d)FINMA is the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority. It protects creditors, investors, and insured parties, ensuring the smooth functioning of financial markets. In doing so, it contributes to enhancing the competitiveness and viability of the Swiss financial center. More than 700 competent and motivated individuals engage each day to fulfill this mission. Within the Asset Management and Markets Division, we are offering a position with the following main tasks:- Processing files concerning fund management, asset managers for collective and individual wealth, trustees, depositary banks, representatives of foreign collective investments, as well as foreign financial institutions.- Processing files concerning products according to the Collective Investment Schemes Act (CISA).- Analyzing investments and reviewing the corresponding investment policy, risk allocation, as well as investment risks related to the various products.- Actively monitoring market developments on a large scale and independently addressing policy questions and various issues related to the regulation of the mentioned institutions and products.- Supporting, closely collaborating with other relevant sections and divisions, ongoing supervision of holders to ensure they meet the required conditions at all times. Required Profile:- Master’s degree in law or economics (or similar), with additional qualifications being an advantage (certificates, CFA, CAIA, FRM).- 5 years of professional experience in the financial markets, with the ability to work independently and persuasively, even during demanding discussions.- Excellent knowledge of French (C2) and good knowledge of German and English (B2).Prospects:We are the ideal employer for those ready to fully engage, seeking challenges, and wanting to quickly take on responsibilities.
