With more than 160 professions represented, the University Hospitals of Geneva are a reference institution at the national level. The oncology department takes care, from diagnostic and therapeutic perspectives, of children and adults suffering from cancerous diseases and provides support for patients and their relatives. The goal is to ensure access to the best cancer treatment, to offer appropriate care, and to anticipate the needs of hospitalized patients (bone marrow transplant, cellular therapy, immunotherapy, etc.). Additionally, the Cancer Center enables interdisciplinary activities dedicated to cancer management across services and departments. It comprises 4 services (oncology, precision oncology, and radio-oncology) and is made up of approximately 300 team members who manage diagnostic and therapeutic care for patients suffering from benign or malignant blood diseases, whether hospitalized or not. This service is involved in various clinical research activities in collaboration with the University of Geneva and is also engaged in different groups such as SAKK, EBMT, GRAALL, SFGM-TC, HOVON, CML X group, CLL German study group, etc. Chief or Clinical Chief with or without a specialty title in the Service - 80% You will ensure, in conjunction with the hierarchy, the management of patients in a department that provides highly specialized medicine, notably by being the Romandy center for allogeneic stem cell transplant. You will oversee the activities related to diagnostic procedures, clinical, therapeutic, or surgical interventions for patients assigned to you, contribute to the training of internal physicians and team members, and participate in clinical research in the field. You must hold a valid medical diploma or have an equivalent qualification recognized in Switzerland by the Medical Professions Commission of the Federal Office of Public Health (MEBEKO). You benefit from advanced postgraduate training with knowledge in this area. If you hold a specialty title, it must also be recognized by the FOPH (MEBEKO) before your entry into the service. Additionally, a cantonal permit is required for those holding a specialty title before entering the department. You have a particular interest in engaging in clinical research in this field and possess the tools to deal with unforeseen circumstances, thus managing unexpected situations smoothly. You have a keen sense of organization and priorities. You can demonstrate autonomy, great rigor, and awareness of responsibilities.
