ABA-GEOL SA has been active throughout Switzerland for over 40 years in the fields of geotechnics, geology, hydrogeology, hazards, and the environment. Our offices are located in Payerne, Fribourg, and Spiez and we have around fifteen employees. Our clientele consists of both private clients and companies active in construction. To strengthen our geotechnical team, we are looking for an engineer (m/f) in geotechnics 100% (permanent contract) for our branch in Payerne, starting immediately or as agreed.Overview of main activities:• Geotechnical studies• Design, sizing, and monitoring of special works and protective structures against hazards for the proper functioning of geotechnical activities.Your skills:• Knowledge of Swiss standards and legal frameworks (notably standard SIA 267)• Theoretical knowledge and expertise in geotechnics• Familiarity with the principles and tools for sizing standard geotechnical structures• Experience in the management of special works• Experience in managing client interactions (contact with the client, offers, submissions, follow-up)Tasks:• Assisting in the execution of surveys and tests as well as in their integration into geotechnical studies as project manager• Design, pre-sizing, and monitoring of deep works: micropiles, piles, etc.• Design, sizing, and monitoring of retaining structures: nailed walls, Berlin walls, sheet piles, etc.• Drafting reports related to hazards and local risk assessments• Comprehensive management of projects with assurance of respect for costs, deadlines, and quality.Your profile:• A degree in civil engineering (EPF, ETH, UNI, HES, ENPC) or equivalent, with a specialization in geotechnics or specific training in geotechnics (Polytechnic)• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a geotechnical engineer within a company or specialized office in geotechnics• Excellent knowledge of French, both spoken and written; mastery of German would be an advantage• Good writing skills• Proficiency in standard office software and geotechnical calculation tools (stability calculations, design of retaining structures, etc.)• Ability to work independently as well as in a multidisciplinary team.We offer:• A pleasant working environment within a friendly team• Flexibility in working hours and management of internal and continuous training opportunities• 5 weeks of vacation• Social benefits. jid3c6432eaen jit0206aen jpiy26aen
