Intern responsible for employmentAs an intern within our Criminological Unit (UEC), you will have the opportunity to apply the theoretical knowledge acquired during your master's degree in law in criminal sciences, specializing in criminology and security. With appropriate guidance from our team of supervisors, you will thus have the chance to gain valuable experience for the continuation of your professional career. Under the supervision of our team, you will learn about the processes and follow-up in criminology.Responsibilities- Fill in an internal criminological database.- Analyze quantitative data and draft summary reports.- Collect all available sources to build the database.- Develop knowledge regarding recidivism risks, protective factors, and risk assessment.- Familiarize yourself with the tools used by the UEC.- Participate in meetings and networks related to the management of cases of detained individuals in connection with criminology.- Consolidate useful criminological scientific research for the UEC.- Support UEC staff in tasks or other missions inherent to the Unit.For further information, Ms. X Wolff, Head of the UEC, is happy to assist you. To get a concrete idea of the activities of a criminologist, you can view this Bachelor’s program.Qualifications- Holder of a Master’s degree in law in criminal sciences, specializing in criminology and security, or currently obtaining it.- Excellent writing and summarization skills.- Comfortable with tools and good knowledge of data analysis.- Interest in the penal field and the execution of sentences and measures.- Ability to take a step back and good stress management.Duration: 6 months, paid CHF 1/conditions of employment require you to be Swiss or hold a C permit, exempt from asset seizure (a statement from the Debt Enforcement Office must be presented during the process), and your criminal record must be clean.
