The Department of Women, Children and Adolescents is tasked with providing quality care tailored to the needs of women at every stage of their lives and addressing the health issues faced by newborns, children, and adolescents from birth up to 18 years of age.
For many years, the Department of Women, Children and Adolescents has continuously developed cutting-edge services and centres of expertise in several medical specialties.
The obstetrics service is responsible for monitoring and managing pregnant women from the diagnosis of pregnancy through to delivery, as well as during the postpartum period.
It is the regional reference centre for high-risk pregnancies and foeto-maternal medicine.
With over 4,000 births per year, the HUG Maternity, the largest maternity hospital in Switzerland, is committed to welcoming women and couples in optimal comfort and safety conditions, respecting the privacy and values of each individual.
Under the responsibility of the head, deputy physician, the selected person ensures the management and operational steering of collaboration projects focused on maternal and neonatal health (MNH). These projects target vulnerable pregnant women, notably migrants and those from low-resource countries, within the partnership framework between HUG, partner associations, and Madagascar.
They ensure the coherence, monitoring, and quality of activities carried out, under the leadership of the head, in close collaboration with national and international partners, respecting the values and institutional procedures of HUG.
They are responsible for the management and operational steering of the activities of each collaboration project.
Qualifications
You hold a Master’s degree in global health or an equivalent diploma.
You have experience in managing health projects in low- or middle-income countries.
You have proven experience in managing health projects in resource-limited contexts as well as specific experience working in Madagascar.
Knowledge of the maternal and neonatal health context is required.
