He or she autonomously manages, under the direct supervision of the Head of Service:- the financial management processes of the institution requiring varied skills, sharp technical expertise, and significant daily responsibilities;- maintaining the general and analytical accounting as well as the closing works, establishing financial statements and reports intended for decision-making bodies;- developing reporting and analysis tools (dashboards, etc.);- leading projects, especially in terms of processes; - managing and leading the department in the absence of his/her competencies.The activities of the Deputy Head of Service in the Finance Department are as follows:- ensuring and ensuring the proper execution of the most complex tasks from a technical standpoint and ensuring the activities within the institution;- closing the financial and analytical accounts;- guiding and supporting the department's team, under the supervision of the Head of Service;- ensuring financial monitoring of budgets and management controlling;- contributing to reports to decision-making bodies and participating in management;- analyzing reports and documents in order to provide summaries to senior management;- participating in the work and meetings of the HES-SO financial tools group;- ensuring the replacement of the Head of Service.Profile:- Perfect command of tools useful for the function;- Experience in personnel management and project management, ideally in finance and processes;- Autonomous, efficient, and reliable;- Organized, versatile, and flexible, capable of managing a wide variety of tasks simultaneously and setting priorities;- Strong analytical and synthesis abilities, solution-oriented;- Excellent sense of communication (perfect command of French) and listening skills for analytical accounting;- In-depth knowledge of public finances, ideally in specialized higher education institutions.Engagement conditions:Bachelor’s or higher professional degree deemed equivalent (federal diploma) with at least 5 years of experience related to the function in the finance field.
