Future Deputy to the Head of Service, Building Police Future Head of Service in a municipality in the Nyon district Our client, a Vaud municipality located in the Nyon district, has inhabitants and covers nearly 440 hectares, between the highway and Lake Geneva. A dynamic and continuously evolving municipality, it is currently undertaking several large-scale projects: the sports and leisure area, the municipal center, public lighting, as well as the ongoing development of its infrastructures. As part of the strengthening of its technical service and with a view to planned succession, we are looking for a committed individual wishing to play a key role in the development of the municipality. As the true right hand of the Head of Service, you will hold a central position within this 13-person municipal team. You are the deputy of the head of the building police and actively participate in the proper development of the municipal territory. You benefit from broad autonomy in managing your files and have a cross-sectional view of construction projects, in direct contact with authorities, advisory offices, companies, and property owners. Your career advancement is concrete: upon the retirement of the current head, you will be called to gradually take over responsibility for the service. This position is part of a knowledge transfer process and a gradual transition to a Head of Service role. Main Tasks Manage the technical aspects and all requests related to the building police Analyze files, ensure their legal and technical compliance Collaborate with engineering offices, architects, and others Send correspondence to property owners and ensure follow-up procedures until building permits are issued Monitor and inspect construction sites on site Advise and support other municipal services (port, road, buildings, population control) Your Profile Technician ES in construction management or equivalent qualifications Significant experience in Switzerland in managing construction files within a municipality, civil engineering office, or architectural firm Mastery of reading construction plans and traditional tools Good knowledge of the regulatory framework related to construction Oral and written proficiency in French You stand out for your autonomy, analytical mind, sense of responsibility, ability to propose solutions, and capacity to engage in dialogue with diverse interlocutors; you wish to evolve into a service management role and invest sustainably in municipal life.
