The Youth Service (SEJ) is tasked with ensuring that the issues related to youth are taken into account in the development of collective actions in the City of Geneva. It works to promote the socio-professional integration of young people while preventing the risks of exclusion by strengthening links between youth and other actors in society. The SEJ also ensures nighttime monitoring in neighborhoods to reduce the risks of exclusion and promote well-being together. To ensure the coherence of its actions, it collaborates closely with various stakeholders in the field of youth and socio-cultural activities. The SEJ primarily addresses young people aged 12 to 25; however, some of its areas of action, particularly in socio-cultural activities or social monitoring, concern all residents of the City of Geneva. To complement its team, the service is looking for an Assistant or Assistant from March 1 to November 30. Your mission and responsibilities:- Lead The City is Yours projects for which you are responsible.- Identify, mobilize and support, within neighborhoods, individuals or groups wishing to get involved in events.- Develop tools and draft documents facilitating participation and autonomy.- Assume responsibility and be the point of reference for internal and external partners.- Support the head of the unit in the missions and activities of the unit.- Perform general administrative tasks (writing articles, managing the website and social media, etc.).- Ensure follow-up and control of grants awarded in accordance with current guidelines.- Handle logistical tasks of the unit.Your profile:- Hold a degree in social sciences or a degree from a university of applied sciences (HETS).- Have confirmed professional experience in community engagement as well as in managing cultural or event projects.- Show proven curiosity and sociability, with strong interpersonal skills and excellent physical fitness and endurance.- Hold a driver's license and remain calm under pressure.- Demonstrate a team spirit and a sense of mutual assistance.- Agree to work irregular hours including weekends, public holidays, and evenings.Terms and conditions:- Start date: (or to be determined)- Class H of the pay scale- Application file must contain the following elements: - Cover letter - Detailed CV, or if absent, a completed job application form (to be downloaded from our website) - Copies of diplomas and work certificatesRegarding the City of Geneva, the recruitment process is decentralized.
