The Building Management (DPBA), within the Department of Development, Construction, and Mobility, ensures the maintenance and development of the real estate portfolio of the City of Geneva (public buildings and properties). To complete our team, we are looking for two Engineers in Building Safety at 100%. Your mission and responsibilities:- Ensure the safety of people and property in buildings used by the City of Geneva and monitor the maintenance of all equipment.- Develop, with the architects of the service, safety plans and fire protection concepts during all project phases, up to the commissioning of the buildings.- Validate and monitor safety and security concepts developed by the specialists during all project phases, until the buildings are put into service.- Serve as a contact point, in collaboration with the team of building safety engineers, with the city's services, competent authorities, and suppliers.- Write calls for tenders, specifications, and provide the official forms required by the authorities.- Ensure all tasks necessary for the smooth running of missions.- Monitor the project budgets, control costs, and ensure compliance with allocated resources.- Follow technical and regulatory developments in the field of safety and propose necessary updates to maintain compliance.- Ensure rotation of on-call for the emergency hotline.Requirements:- Hold a relevant engineering degree or an equivalent qualification. An AEAI is highly desirable.- Justify at least 10 years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in a project management position, with direction and management of major construction sites.- Master current regulations in the field of fire protection and building safety.- Possess in-depth knowledge of all techniques related to intrusion and fire detection, access control, video surveillance, and alarm transmission networks.- Knowledge of the functioning of public safety is considered beneficial.As part of its policy of gender equality, the City of Geneva aims to promote diversity in all its services.
