Within the Buildings Service, and under the responsibility of the head of the Studies and Constructions sector, you will represent the City of Carouge as the project owner and will be in charge of: Managing projects and the follow-up of constructions or renovations requiring investment credits approved by the Municipal Council; Defining project specifications, estimating costs, preparing files to defend requests for study and/or construction credits presented to the Municipal Council; Developing specifications for (architects, engineers, etc.) and managing their selection procedures as well as the contracts with companies, ensuring compliance with public procurement rules; Ensuring the follow-up of projects from the early stages of studies to the final phases of construction, adhering to construction laws and standards, ensuring the proper management of approved credits as well as the correct execution of works carried out by the City of Carouge; Respecting the duty of discretion and embodying the values of the City of Carouge that you cultivate in your role as a representative of the project owner. YOU BRING A Master's degree in architecture and experience in a similar role; Experience in a public institution would be an asset; Knowledge and contacts within the canton, regional architecture, and construction companies; Mastery of AIMP procedures, knowledge of SIA standards, KBOB, and Geneva’s construction regulations; Knowledge of management software (MS Project), possibly CAD software; An interest in current architectural news and writing skills; Availability for evening meetings for Council commissions from time to time.
